Prominent verwandt launches on RTL+ on November 10, 2026. The new reality show brings well-known personalities together with a parent or their child in a shared villa in South Africa. RTL has announced eleven episodes, including a reunion. Seven family duos will take part at the start, with two more pairs due to join during the season.

Prominent verwandt launches on November 10

The announcement gives the previously introduced show a specific release date. RTL announced the start of production in November 2025. According to that announcement, the first season was filmed in South Africa in November and December 2025. Seapoint is producing the spin-off. Viewers now know when they will be able to watch the families share everyday life in the villa.

The competition between teams of two connects the concept with “Prominent getrennt”. In “Prominent verwandt”, a different relationship takes centre stage: parents and children bring their shared history with them. Closeness may be an advantage, while unresolved conflicts may make cooperation harder. Even people who have known each other for a long time still have to prove themselves as a team in the villa's unfamiliar environment.

The seven family duos moving in

  • Thorsten Legat and his son Nico Legat.
  • Danni Büchner and her daughter Jada Karabaş.
  • Jana-Maria Herz and her mother Eva-Maria Herz.
  • Kevin Schäfer and his mother Michaela Schäfer.
  • Yeliz Koç and her father Savaş Koç.
  • Micha Klotz and his father Micha Klotz.
  • Anya Elsner and her mother Katrin Elsner.

RTL describes different starting points for these relationships. Some duos are particularly close, while others want to start talking again after difficult periods. The family stories released in advance provide the season's starting point. They reveal neither how the relationships develop during filming nor which team progresses furthest in the competition.

Family time, games and nominations

The teams live together in the villa and compete in several types of games. Family games can offer protection from nomination. Group games put the collective prize fund at stake. The announced maximum is €100,000. That is a possible prize fund rather than a confirmed amount eventually paid out.

There is also “Familienzeit”, or family time, intended to give space to each duo's personal relationship. At nominations, the family pairs have to explain their choice in front of the others. Teams at risk then compete in an elimination game to stay. The announced later arrivals may change the villa's line-up again. This article does not speculate about the identities of those two additional family pairs.

What is confirmed for RSHOF before the launch

Our reporting distinguishes the confirmed announcement from the show's subsequent events. The starting cast and release date are known. Wins, departures and placings are not yet established before the competition's events have been released. RSHOF therefore does not turn an announced arrival into an estimated success or a placing awarded in advance.

We explain how documented appearances and results contribute to the score in Methodology and transparency. The show directory and star register provide access to reality-TV appearances already recorded. The new season will add to that history as events can be substantiated. The announcement does not provide a reliable basis for predicting which family pair will win.
