Der Promihof: Kevin Njie explains his return after a reality-TV break. On arrival, the former Too Hot To Handle participant discusses a year in which he needed distance from public life. Kevin Njie’s comeback therefore begins with a personal question: what energy does he want to bring when he returns to reality cameras? RTL published his remarks from the season opening on October 22.

Spoiler warning: This article discusses the arrival scenes and opening conversations described by RTL. It does not reveal a later decision about Kevin’s place on the farm.

Kevin Njie wanted his comeback to feel different

Kevin describes the period before his return as a time when he lacked energy. His brief explanation is that his reserves had fallen to zero. By his own account, he spent roughly a year away from reality television, moving between stays in Bali and Ibiza. He wanted to participate in another show only when he felt comfortable and could sincerely smile again.

He consequently connects the new production with a condition he had set for himself. His own readiness to return is central to the account. This is the participant’s personal reflection; it is not used here to infer a medical diagnosis or a course of treatment. What he describes as a period of finding himself explains why, in his view, he needed time before taking the next step.

Kevin says he initially wanted to avoid another conventional dating competition because those shows had taken a toll on him. Der Promihof offers a different setting: shared duties, animals, and communal life on a working farm are part of the premise alongside challenges. Wanting a different daily routine, however, does not mean personal feelings disappear at the farm gate.

Julia and Vanessa arrive with different histories

Two women show interest in Kevin in the opening scenes described by RTL. Vanessa Brahimi finds him attractive and calls him her type. This is initially her response to the new arrival. It does not establish a relationship or a shared future after filming. The report stays with what the people involved say themselves in those scenes.

Julia Römmelt, in contrast, already knows Kevin from an earlier period of getting to know each other. RTL reports her arrival comment as another expression of interest. That creates two different starting points on the farm: Vanessa encounters him in this situation, while Julia brings a personal acquaintance into it. Their earlier history does not itself establish a renewed connection between Kevin and Julia.

Vanessa notices Julia’s interest but does not want it to determine her own decisions. The setup therefore touches on precisely the subject from which Kevin initially wanted some distance when choosing his next show. How he handles that attention remains a question for his subsequent life on the farm. The opening scenes provide a starting point rather than a conclusive answer.

Kevin also discusses being a father

In the same account, Kevin mentions his son, who lives in Ibiza according to his remarks. He describes being a single father as an additional consideration when meeting someone. The point matters to understanding his perspective: his wish to take part in reality television again exists alongside a private responsibility that he chooses to discuss in the opening.

Further details about the child or his daily life are outside this story. What matters is the framework Kevin describes for himself: he wants to feel ready, choose his return deliberately, and enter a new format with different expectations. That is his personal explanation of the break. Here, a comeback means returning to cameras, rather than an already established achievement in the competition.

The farm involves more than flirting

The official season announcement lists caring for animals, farm duties, and challenges among the residents’ tasks. Advantages and decisions can affect the shared jackpot, with an advertised possible prize of up to €100,000. Nino Sifkovits again provides the agricultural framework. Kevin therefore enters a competition that also requires cooperation beyond personal attraction.

Existing season records and profiles are linked from our Der Promihof show guide. Later developments are covered separately in the report on episodes 3 and 4. This story focuses on Kevin’s reasons for returning and the first encounters described by RTL. It does not assign him an outcome in the season.
