Two episodes of “Der Promihof” season 2 have been available on RTL+ since 22 October. The new series begins on a farm in Poland with a starting jackpot of €100,000. The first days already show how quickly comforts, personal advantages and rule breaches can change that amount.
Day 1: arrivals, limited supplies and expensive extras
Seven “Village People” arrive first. This year’s accommodation offers more comfort, but basic supplies remain limited. Anyone wanting extra food or other comforts has to spend money at the City Shop. An early offer of personal safety forces the group to consider whether one person’s advantage is worth spending the collective jackpot. Tensions begin to emerge between reality veterans and newcomers.
Day 2: old connections and the first challenge
Further arrivals bring a new dynamic. Kevin Njie meets Julia Römmelt, with whom he shares a history; the official episode description says they have not been in contact for more than a year. Vanessa Brahimi finds Kevin attractive. Zoe Müllner also meets her ex Fabian Hesdahl. These are genuine connections within the cast, but it remains to be seen how they develop into relationships or alliances.
Celebrity farmer Nino Sifkovits explains the duties in the barn. According to RTLZWEI’s episode description, basic provisions include buckwheat, vegetables and oats; extras are available from the expensive City Shop. Escaped cows create more work. Andrew Weiß, Meike Buschening-Kaffenberger and Patrick Mast complete the opening group. The scarecrow offers each newcomer the chance to challenge for a safety ticket at a cost of €10,000. If everyone declines, the jackpot rises by €5,000. RTLZWEI’s preview does not reveal their decision. The first farm challenge, “Mit dem Hof durch die Wand”, follows. Farm work and game decisions affect both individual safety and the shared prize fund.
The jackpot diary
Day 1: a €100,000 starting jackpot, confirmed by RTLZWEI and RTL+. Day 2: €52,000 according to the episode balance supplied to RSHOF by its editorial team; an independent broadcaster source for that exact figure is not currently available. Day 3: still open. We will add the balance once the next day in the show can be reliably verified. Spending, rule breaches and challenges can reduce or increase the jackpot.
Who else is coming to the farm?
RTLZWEI has announced 22 residents for the season: 21 named people and an initially mysterious “Teddy” connected with Kate Merlan. The cast includes Christina Dimitriou, Vanessa Nwattu, Matthias Mangiapane, René “Redo” Dost, Tara Tabitha and Jennifer Iglesias. The full announced cast is not the same as the group that arrived on day one.
Episodes 1 and 2 are on RTL+. RTLZWEI broadcasts them on 29 October from 22:15 German time. The official cast overview contains more details. Our Promihof show page brings together the seasons.
