Eva Benetatou gives a strikingly positive account of “Love Island VIP”. In an RTL interview, she says she felt accepted in the dating villa and could show a side of herself already known to her family and friends. For Eva, this is about more than who she forms a couple with on camera.
Less of a role, more of herself
Eva describes how strongly she used to feel held back. She says the other participants’ reactions in the villa helped her open up. She also looks critically at some of her own statements in earlier years and wants to speak more thoughtfully now. Her principle is to think first, then speak. The interview does not specify which earlier remarks she means.
This reflection sits alongside the current season’s dating stories, including her closeness to Jannik Kontalis, but it is a story in its own right. Eva is assessing both her experience of appearing on a reality show and how she feels about the broadcast scenes, rather than only discussing a flirt.
What happens next on the island?
The RTL+ weekly schedule announces episodes 13 and 14 for 28 October. The interview does not establish what will happen to Eva in those episodes. We therefore distinguish her retrospective comments from later developments.
