The first team has been eliminated from season 5 of the Austrian show “Forsthaus Rampensau”: Simone Lugner and Alexander Schneller, known as Alex on the show, have to leave the cabin. In episode 3, they lose the deciding Raus-Rein game to Ebru and Julia. In an official Joyn interview, the two look back on their unexpectedly short stay in the mountains.
Six votes send Simone and Alex into the elimination game
According to Joyn, the team receives six of the nine saw blades handed out in the first group vote. Ebru and Julia receive the second-highest number and also have to compete. The vote alone therefore does not determine which team leaves.
In the skill challenge that follows, the teams have to drop metal nuts into a shot glass. Winning two rounds secures a place in the house. It is a close contest, but Ebru and Julia prevail. Simone and Alex lose their chance to win the season and have to leave the next morning. Joyn confirms the first eliminated team in episode 3.
Why the outcome surprised Alex
In the official exit interview, Alex says he had enjoyed many positive interactions with the other contestants before the vote. That made the result especially difficult for him. Simone had expected some votes against their team, but not such a clear result.
Looking back, both believe the other contestants saw them as strong competition. That is their own interpretation of the vote. Alex describes being particularly disappointed by Ebru and Julia, while also saying he no longer holds a grudge against them. Read the full exit interview on Joyn.
An early exit, but both would return
Simone and Alex are still open to another reality TV adventure after their elimination. Both would return to the house together. Simone describes the stay as an interesting experience despite its early ending. Alex would also give it another try, with Simone as his teammate again.
They entered the competition as team “Fire & Ice.” Simone Lugner and circus director Alexander Schneller brought very different personalities to the cabin. Their early exit has now been officially confirmed.
